Three-storey home renovation and addition.

PORT MACQUARIE HOME RENOVATION

This project involved a complete transformation of a three-storey home. We turned a house with structural issues into a refined and livable space. The build had several challenges. There was significant termite damage and soil erosion, which required careful planning and precise execution. The goal was to create a spacious and comfortable home for family life. The final layout features five bedrooms, a dedicated parents’ retreat, and well-appointed bathrooms and ensuites. To connect with the natural surroundings, we added 100m² of hardwood decking across two levels. 

We built the extension to passive house standards with double-glazed windows and an HRV system (Heat Recovery Ventilation) . The family installed a lift, and in collaboration with architect Craig Teasdell, we added a disability-friendly setting for future use. Thanks to the HRV system and passive house principles, the family is enjoying the performance of the house. The owner appreciates the filtered air system, which contributes to a low-dust environment.
